It’s Working!

It came to my attention yesterday that another department, on a completely separate floor, in my building has “copied” the Magical Oreo Office. When others got wind of this “copycat,” they asked me if I was annoyed or offended that someone took my idea and didn’t even tell me! Of course I am not annoyed or mad or offended or what have you. If anything, I am ecstatic! The Oreo Happiness is SPREADING! How exciting. When I asked the “copycats” what prompted them to start an Oreo Office, I was told it was to bring the team together to share the experience of trying new Oreo flavors. I am so happy for them!

In other news, we got some spring Oreos here now and the most quoted happiness remark when someone takes one is, “Spring makes me happy!”

So when I told the crew yesterday morning that the new Oreos had come home, they appeared at my magical Oreo Office door faster than you can say, “Cookie Dough and Marshmallow Crispy Oreos.”

It really is magical…the way Oreos bring people together. It’s been snowing a ton and polar vortexing all over the place but when there’s Oreos, none of that matters.

Other people tried the Oreos but declined the photo op for fear of a paparazzi swoon.

The consenus is that the marshmallow crispy ones are better than the cookie dough. Funny enough, each and every one of us was looking forward to the cookie dough more than the marshmallow crispy. However, we just could not help but fall in love with the abundant sweetness of the marshmallowy creme complemented by actual pieces of crispy rice!

Everything about this experience makes me happy.

How’s this for a great way to start the day…

I had taken a day off last week and when I returned to the office and logged on to my computer, I received an immediate instant message that said, “THANK GOD YOU’RE BACK! Our colleague from the Atlanta office is visiting and I promised him a visit to your MAGICAL OREO OFFICE. He was going to be so disappointed.” Ha! More evidence that Oreos make people happy!!

Anyhoo, before he took a bite he said that returning home to see his dog makes him happy.

On Friday someone else also told me that finishing the week makes her happy and someone else said that vacation days make him happy.
